Beginning the job.

First is to take out the old shock absorbers.

Presto! The shock is gone!

Presto! The shock is gone!

WARNING!!! If you have a trailer queen show car, you may see something in these pictures that you are unfamiliar with... It's called DIRT. You get that when you actually drive your car!

Spring compressor tool in place.

Puttin' the squeeze on...

By tightening the top bolt on the compressor, you can see here that the old spring is getting compressed.

Get outta my way!

Get outta my way!

The upper "A" arm is unbolted and swing out and down out of the way.

Spring all gone!

Spring all gone!

It's coming together!

It's coming together!

New coil spring is compressed enough to get the upper "A" arm bolted back into position.

Done!

Done!

"New" spring is back in place, and new shock absorber installed. Now on to the passenger side to do it all over again!

New tool!

New tool!

Compressing coil springs can be scary (and dangerous), and this tool made it easy and safe.

The "after" shot.

The "after" shot.

I am extremely happy with the new front end height.

Another "after" view.

Another "after" view.

If you go back to one of my previous photo albums, you can see some "before" pictures to compare the old height versus new height.

And a shot with the Comet in view too.
